So I got a call from Maxx H. on Sunday, and he's alright, although Biloxi and Gulfport are in ruins. Needless to say, I felt relieved to hear from him.
To make a long story short, there are 1300 bodies in the morgue there, and so consequently if he is telling me correct information, the estimates of 300 offical dead are WAY WAY Off. Almost all of the trainee's at Keesler Air Force base have been sent away to other bases and given NEW JOBS, now, the interesting thing about this is that the Air Force is required to give you the job that you are being trained for, and if they won't give you a job or if they change your training, it is a breach in contract and you are allowed to leave the Air Force with no questions asked.
He said that some people used this as an excuse to get out of the Air Force, but some left because they only really wanted that job that they had been training for.
Anyway, I am moving into school tommorow, and it's going to be awesome. I've been staying at someone's apartment in Boston since Tuesday, and helping with the FF/RW Freshman Orientation Coverage on ECTV.
It's been awesome, and I've had some great times. But I can't wait to move in and get settled and see all of my buddies again. (Some of them are already here, but others are not, and that's who I want to see next.)
Well, I have to do some editing for the "Home Dating Network" segment, so I'll write more later!
