Things Are Lookin' A Little Better

Well, I still don't have a job, and it's still hot as ever here.

But seriously, I had a good day today because I went to Zak's house. I haven't seen him in a long time, and the other sweet thing is that he has a pool. We all splashed around and then went inside and watched some demos on Zak's computer for new games coming soon. They were all pretty cool, especially this game invented by Will Wright, (creator of the sim games) which is an evolution sim game... it's pretty cool.

Anyway, I went to Shaws and got some chicken nuggets for cheap and ate them for dinner, and they were awesome. I'm probably going back to buy more, since they are sweet, and only 99 cents for like, 25 of them.

I also called some family friends who own concession stands here, and told them that I would be able to work on the weekends if they needed. They called me back and said that they would probably need me almost everyday during august, and they'd be willing to pay me 11 dollars an hour, putting in about 50-60 hours a week! That could be something I want to do, but at the same time, it's hard work, and I don't want to say that I can't do it--but when I did the Lobster Festival for two days, it was so tiring that don't know if I could do it full time like that!

The other thing is that I would probably have to stay away from home, basically camping out for days at a time.... but I guess if that's all I can do, I should do it, since I am here to MAKE MONEY. Not HAVE FUN. But it's kinda fun too, but it's just really tiring.... I'll probably do it.

Who knows. Anyway, I called Adecco today and they said that their is no office work right now, and the only thing she had right now was about a weeks worth of work at the the Hollis, ME Poland Spring plant. It would be 12 dollars an hour, but the shifts would be 12 (twelve) hours long! In addition to the 1.5 hours it would take to drive there each way, it would probably kill me. So I mean, I'd like to do it... but I've not got much experience production lines, and I don't know how much I could help. Of couse, the transportation distance could be solved by staying with Sarah, which I'm sure that she'd do for me.

I dunno, I'm sort of still holding out, since I am still ahead of schedule on the money front right now, (I didn't start working until the very end of June last year, and I already worked for 68 hours for the High School in Harrisonburg.

Well, it's night time, so I'm off to bed. Goodnight!

Insanity!

You'd make a buttload... no, an assload of money if you ran one of those concession stands... but you'd probably kill yourself. I worked like 43 hours last week (before then, and the other two weeks of work, I had never worked more than a few hours a week) - suffice it to say, it practically killed me. So, go for the gusto, but be wary.
